Well, empathy/backfire, and basically any hexes from dom/illusion(whichever one you decide to go with, thought illusion prolly syncs best with curses) And plenty of curses skills, along with some inspiration skills such as spirit of failure, drain enchantment, stuff like that would be helpful. go to guildwarswiki.com to look at a full list of mes and necro skills.

Default Dom Mesmer...

I personally think the domination mesmer is most effective for standard PvE pickup groups. We can single handedly take down an opposing monk in seconds. Simply throw backfire on them, followed by empathy and a quick cover hex and most PvE monks are screwed.

Even monks in Nightfall with SpellBreaker have no answer for empathy, and die quickly.

Illusion mesmers are nasty, nasty casters, but they lack the utility empathy and backfire offers.

I highly recommend our new SunSpear skill Cry of Pain. Does a good amount of area effect damage and has a quick refresh.

If you're fast with your keyboard, Overload is a ton of fun.

From the illusion line, Images of Remorse is a great cover hex, and teams up well with empathy.

If you run with a ranger that has winter, don't forget to take Mantra of Frost.
